Jason Momoa introduced his new girlfriend on Instagram last Monday, making headlines everywhere.

Although it was unexpected for some, he had been hinting at their deepening relationship to his followers for a while.

He first met the 32-year-old actress during the filming of the 2021 Netflix movie “Sweet Girl,” while still married to Lisa Bonet. However, there’s a twist!

Momoa and his wife had been separated for over five years, though still legally married.

They officially parted ways on October 7, 2020, which means there was no overlap in relationships when he began dating Arjona.

Bonet applied for a divorce on January 8 this year, and they resolved their matters peacefully the following day.

Now free to express his feelings, Momoa posted a series of photos from their latest trip to Japan, celebrating his love for her.

In his post, he called Arjona “mi amor.” For those unsure what that means, their loving photos speak volumes.

The second photo shows her tenderly touching his arm while he embraces her. It’s a genuine moment!

The writer expressed, “Japan, you have been a revelation; you’ve left me astonished.” He expressed gratitude to those who welcomed them, allowing for unforgettable adventures and memories with dear friends, both old and new. “Motorbikes and chaos on the roads. Best regards, J.”

Arjona married lawyer Edgardo Canales in 2019, but details about their current relationship status are scarce.

Though Arjona seems new to the Momoa circle, his stepdaughter Zoë Kravitz picked her to direct “Blink Twice,” starring Channing Tatum and set for an August 23 release.

Now that Kravitz and Tatum are engaged, their wedding is expected to be grand, with Momoa, Bonet, and Lenny Kravitz likely in attendance.

After 13 years together, Bonet and Momoa wed in October 2017.

The former couple is raising their 15-year-old son Nakoa-Wolf and 16-year-old daughter Lola away from the public eye.

They announced their separation in January 2022 via Instagram, stating, “We’ve all experienced the pressures and changes of these transformative times. A revolution is underway, and our family is adapting… evolving with the massive shifts happening,” they shared. “Thus, we tell our loved ones about our upcoming divorce. We share this not to focus on ourselves, but to live truthfully and genuinely every day.”
