A Woman Who Became A “Vampire” By Covering Entire Body In Tattoos Issues Warning
Maria José Cristerna, famous for holding the Guinness World Record for the most body modifications, has a strong message for those thinking of following her path. Known as the “real-life vampire” because of her unique look, Cristerna began her tattoo journey at 14 years old.
The Mexican woman has 50 body modifications, earning her the record in 2022 as the most altered woman. Her changes include forehead and arm implants, many piercings, a split tongue, and tattoos covering almost her entire body—even her eyeballs.
In an interview with Guinness World Records, Cristerna revealed her father was against her getting tattoos at first. However, he later supported her and even went with her for her first tattoo. She described her passion for art, saying, “Art flows in my blood. Since childhood, I loved it, and now I show it through my body.”
Her modifications represent her freedom from a ten-year abusive marriage. She speaks out for women in similar situations, saying, “The way out of abuse is self-love. We are here to find happiness.”
Each change has a deep meaning, but she shared that the arm implants and eye tattoos caused the most pain. Still, she stays dedicated to expressing herself. “You can achieve anything. There are no limits. If you believe in it, nothing is impossible,” she stated.
Cristerna plans to tattoo her entire body. She said confidently, “I don’t care about others’ opinions. I put myself first. I know who I am, and that’s what matters.”
She also warned young people about extreme body changes, encouraging them to think carefully. “These decisions are permanent,” she explained. “Tattoos and piercings are trendy now, but what if you regret them later? You have to love and defend them forever.”
Despite her caution, the “Vampire Woman” continues her transformation. She recently posted about her new tattoo session on Instagram, captioning the post, “Another stripe for my brother’s tiger Rene Camarena Laus Satanus.”
