Do you think this picture is worth dying for? Because, that’s literally what happened here. Meet Huang Lihong, a 31-year-old tourist from China, who tragically died after falling into the crater of Mount Ijen, an active volcano in Indonesia because she was attempting to take a picture of her in front of the volcano for Instagram just a few days ago.

The woman, Lihong alongside her husband, Zhang Yong, and another local guide, had climbed the slopes of the volcano early in the morning to witness a sunrise. The scene was set against a backdrop of rising steam and sulfur gas, promising a breathtaking photo.

This was going to be perfect for a photo to be uploaded on Instagram Lihong commented to her husband as she smiled looking around from the top of 9,085 feet volcano.

That’s when she started to ask her husband to take some photos for her. But that’s when this unfortunate sequence of events occurred. Unfortunately, as she posed for the picture her skirt got snagged, causing her to lose her balance. And exactly like a scene from a bad horror movie, she stumbled and fell backwards plummeting 250 feet into the volcano’s crater.

The fall was witnessed by her screaming husband and captured in an eerie photograph that shows Lihong moments before her death, with her leg raised and the ominous gases behind her. The rescue team faced a daunting task and it took them over two hours to retrieve her remains from the deep crater.

So what did you think of this and let me ask you a question. Do you think this photo was worth it?
