Restaurant Mnager Declares Churchgoers Worst Clients – Tells All About Dreadful Encounters

Recently, I had a day at work that I just have to tell you about. I manage a restaurant, and last Sunday, things got really wild thanks to a big group from a local church.

So, there I was, just starting my shift, when suddenly, 25 churchgoers showed up out of nowhere! They didn’t have a reservation and our place was already packed. I told them they’d have to wait about an hour, maybe a bit more. They seemed okay with it at first, but then one of them kept pestering me, asking, “When are we going to get seated?”

We don’t have private rooms, and this seemed to upset them when they finally got seated. No sooner had we served the salads and bread, they started playing musical chairs with their seats! Then, one of them asked for collard greens – at our Italian restaurant!

I needed a breather, so I stepped away for a moment. But then I heard this loud noise—they were actually banging tambourines and playing other instruments, right there in the middle of the restaurant! And then they asked me to tell another table to be quiet because they were having a “worship session.”

But here’s the kicker: When it came time to pay, a young guy couldn’t cover his part of the bill. The leader of the group, who was suddenly all sweet, asked me to “bless” him by not charging for his meal. I explained that they could all help out, but she only offered a $50 tip on a $350 bill, saying she would have tipped more if I hadn’t charged the young man.

After all that, I just had to laugh. I ended up making a video about it, asking, “What do they teach you in church? Because you all don’t act like it when you’re here!” Maybe we should start telling their pastors what’s going on!

What do you think? Is the “Church Crowd” really that troublesome? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
