In the 1960s, the excitement around The Beatles was at its highest, influencing music, style, and grooming significantly.

The Beatles wore neat suits and had distinctive mop-top haircuts. This look, with its side-swept fringe and textured style, became widely popular and is still associated with the band.

Over time, McCartney has tried different hairstyles, including shorter cuts and a beard and mustache, always staying in style with the trends of each period.

In 1969, the same year he married Linda, he grew a thick beard that many admired.

This beard even has its own Instagram page and is called “the finest beard in rock n roll history.”

As styles changed, McCartney adapted, trying various hair lengths and styles while keeping his unique look. However, not all his attempts to keep his hair trendy were successful.

According to the New York Daily News, when he was married to Heather Mills, he tried to dye his hair at home and made a mess. Mills had to call professionals from a Manhattan salon to fix it.

Eventually, McCartney embraced his aging hair. In 2018, at age 76, he appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, sporting beautiful silver hair.

Despite previously dying his hair brown for 30 years, he now shows off his natural silver hair.

The Daily Mail noted that although he had been keeping his hair dark, he began to show some grey, especially at the sideburns.

After recording his 18th solo album “McCartney III” in 2020 during the Covid lockdown, his silver hair has become part of his distinguished look.

In March 2024, McCartney was spotted enjoying the beaches of St. Bart’s with his wife, Shevell. He wore a long-sleeved black shirt and sunset-print shorts, his hair flowing in the wind.

Shevell, 64, wore black shorts and a colorful long-sleeved top.

Recently, McCartney posted on social media to wish his father and Ringo Starr, his former bandmate, happy birthday.
