My son’s wedding turned into a horror show when the maid of honor gave her speech

I always thought I was a great mom to my son. He was about to marry a wonderful girl, and they had big dreams of starting their own business. But, let me tell you, the maid of honor’s speech was about to turn everything upside down. Being an awesome mom was my goal. I didn’t want to be one of those moms who are always on their kids’ backs.

I taught my son, Connor, to respect everyone, and he grew up to be a true gentleman. So, when he introduced me to his girlfriend, Carrie, I was thrilled. Little did we know their wedding was going to be a disaster. At first glance, Carrie seemed like your average girl.

She drove an old car, didn’t ask for fancy gifts, and was all about saving money, though she’d treat herself now and then. But when we met her parents, surprise! They were loaded, thanks to her dad’s construction business. They lived simply by choice, only promising to support Carrie in starting a business.

Her family was even ready to throw a dream wedding for her. When Carrie mentioned she didn’t have a business plan yet, Connor’s eyes sparkled. He had always dreamed of launching a tech company but lacked the funds. Carrie loved the idea, and soon, they were planning their future business and life together.

As the wedding approached, Carrie started acting strange. She seemed stressed about meeting Connor’s expectations for their business. I wondered if she was pregnant or having family issues. But I decided to let them sort it out themselves.

On the wedding day, Carrie was visibly nervous, understandable given the VIP guest list. Then, I saw her maid of honor, Susan, arguing with Connor. Something big was about to go down. When Susan gave her speech, she dropped a bombshell: she and Connor had been having an affair!
