My Boyfriend Kicked Me out after Learning I’m Pregnant, 26 Years Later My Son Paid Him a Visit
Tina once believed she had found her fairytale ending when she married her high school sweetheart. However, after being thrown out by her husband and left to raise her son alone, she came to understand just how profound the consequences of our actions can be.
Tina had always dreamed of a grand, traditional white wedding, but reality turned out differently. At 18, she eloped with her high school love, Richard. Coming from a wealthy family, Richard's elopement might have seemed out of character, but Tina’s heart was simply full of love for him. His affluent background held no allure for her; she was drawn purely to the man he was—or so she thought.
After a few months of married life, Tina discovered she was pregnant. Although the topic of children hadn’t been discussed, she was overjoyed and eager to share the news with Richard. However, his reaction stunned her. "What do you mean, you're pregnant?" he demanded, visibly upset.
Tina tried to reassure him, explaining, “I know we didn’t plan this, but I thought you’d be happy. You’ve always seemed like such a family-oriented man. You’d be a great father.” His response, however, was far from what she anticipated. “Family man? The only reason I’m with you is to escape the family I already have! How could you do this to me?” he lashed out.
Shocked and heartbroken, Tina tried to rationalize his outburst, convincing herself that he just needed time to adjust to the news. But the next evening, Richard returned home drunk and abruptly demanded she leave. “Get out, Tina! If I see you here again, we’ll have a problem!” he shouted.
Tina didn’t argue; she left, thinking Richard would come around once he cooled off. When she returned a few days later, she found the locks had been changed. She called Richard’s parents for help, only to be blindsided again.
“Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Tinney. I was trying to reach Richard—” she began, only to be harshly interrupted.
“The audacity of you, young lady, to call us after what you’ve done to our Richie!” Mrs. Tinney snapped.
Confused, Tina tried to clarify, “I’m not sure what you’ve heard, but please, let me explain—”
“We’ve heard enough! Cheating on him and getting pregnant with another man’s child? Don’t ever contact us again, or we’ll sue you!” Mrs. Tinney retorted.
It was in that moment Tina realized she and her unborn child were entirely on their own.
Years passed, and Tina dedicated herself to raising her son, Greg, with all the love and strength she could muster. Greg’s kindness and awareness of their struggles eased some of her burden. Even as a child, he showed a willingness to pitch in, working small jobs to help support their household. At just 15, Greg started working as a caddy at a local golf club. Despite his early start in the workforce, he managed to stay focused on his education. While he wasn’t the brightest student, his remarkable work ethic set him apart.
Greg eventually graduated high school with honors and used his savings to start a business. Tina beamed with pride at the man Greg was becoming, though she couldn’t ignore the growing anger he harbored toward his absent father. Whenever Richard or the topic of fatherhood arose, Tina noticed the simmering resentment in Greg’s eyes.
By 26, Greg’s business had flourished, making him one of the most successful young entrepreneurs in the city. He even hired Tina to work at one of his main offices. Despite his success, Greg couldn’t shake the bitterness he felt toward his father and decided it was time to confront him.
Greg tracked Richard’s whereabouts and one day drove to his home, gripping a baseball bat in his passenger seat. He wasn’t sure what he intended to do, but the rage within him was undeniable. However, as he watched Richard—frail, disheveled, and taking out the trash—Greg’s anger began to wane. Seeing his father’s downfall made him question whether seeking revenge was worth jeopardizing all he had achieved.
Noticing a “For Sale” sign on Richard’s property, Greg decided to make a different choice. He called the realtor listed on the sign and discovered Richard was deeply in debt, forced to sell his home to cover his financial obligations. Greg purchased the house and soon arranged a meeting.
When Richard arrived to finalize the sale, he was shocked to find Tina and Greg waiting for him. As the realization dawned on him, Greg stood and introduced himself. “I’m your son,” he said, his voice firm. “Now vacate the property.”
Greg’s parting words echoed Richard’s own from years ago: “If I see you again, we’ll have a problem.” Tina watched Richard walk away in disgrace, reminded of her own painful departure so long ago. Life had come full circle in a way she never could have imagined.
