These days, it feels like you can’t go anywhere without ending up online. We’re living in an era where funny, awkward, and sometimes very personal videos and photos can be shared instantly.
This can be both good and bad. Sometimes it helps catch people doing something wrong.
That’s what folks on the internet thought was happening when a viral Instagram picture appeared in early March. The photo showed a message from a mom who supposedly left her baby in the car to shop at Target. Scary, right? But hold on, there’s more to the story.
Influencer Bonnie Engle posted a reel on Instagram in March, and it went viral quickly. The video got millions of views and over 1,000 comments.
The video starts with a close-up of a handwritten note taped inside a car window. It says, “My baby is OK. He’s got his drink and his nibbles! I’m in Target right now. Return soon!”
Understandably, this note freaked people out. But those who kept watching soon realized Bonnie isn’t a terrible mom, just a playful wife. The camera zooms out to show that the “baby” in the car is actually her husband.
“Please no judgment,” Bonnie captioned the video. “He is secure and in good health.”
Her husband is seen in the car, happily munching on some popcorn.
Luckily, most viewers found Bonnie’s video funny.
One person commented, “My heart dropped and then I LMAO.”
Another said, “Leaving them in the car is so much easier.”
“For a split second, I thought I was going to lose it… That surprised me, too,” added a third person.
Many of Bonnie’s posts are lighthearted and relatable, especially for moms dealing with everyday parenting challenges.
