In 2017, Leah Rose and Ava Marie Clements turned seven and opened an Instagram account. Their beauty stunned followers, and the account gained massive attention almost instantly.
Now 14, these California twins, often called the “most beautiful twins in the world,” are famous child models with a fascinating story behind their success.
Back in 2017, their mother, Jaqi Clements, began posting pictures of Leah and Ava online. She intended to share moments with friends and family. However, the internet quickly noticed their unique looks, and the account started gaining followers.
Their striking features and charm drew attention. Soon, modeling agencies and brands reached out to collaborate. What began as a simple family page turned into a career-changing platform.
“I wasn’t familiar with Instagram before starting the girls’ account,” Jaqi wrote in her blog. “If someone had told me six months earlier that 300,000 followers was a big deal, I wouldn’t have known.”
Now, the twins boast nearly 3 million followers across Instagram and Facebook. They’ve partnered with top brands like Nike, Disney, and Target, securing their place among elite child models.
Criticism
The family faced backlash for letting Leah and Ava model at such a young age. Critics questioned the parents’ decision and accused them of exploiting their daughters.
Jaqi stood by her choice, explaining that modeling was the twins’ idea. She said she and her husband, Kevin, made personal sacrifices to support their daughters’ dream and did not profit from their careers.
In response to critics, Jaqi wrote, “I didn’t choose modeling for my girls—they did. If they decide to stop someday, I’ll fully support them.”
A Lifeline
What started as a way to share the twins’ modeling journey became vital for the family in 2019. That year, their dad Kevin, a swim coach and father of three, began feeling unwell. What seemed like a minor cold turned out to be T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.
The twins turned to social media for help. They hoped their millions of followers could find a bone marrow match for their father.
“If he gets a transplant, he’ll recover faster,” Ava told People magazine. Leah added, “It’s kind that people want to help. The more people get tested, the better.”
Thousands responded to their call. Although Kevin’s brother Chris was his match, many others who got tested joined the national bone marrow registry, helping other patients in need.
More Than Just Looks
Now teenagers, Leah and Ava are still active in modeling and stay connected with their fans. Their transformation from local stars to international icons showcases their determination, charm, and family’s unwavering support.
Juggling modeling with school, family, and advocacy, they’ve proven they are more than just their looks. Their story inspires many, and their journey is far from over.
