If you've browsed the internet in the past week, one of the most jaw-dropping rumors you may have come across is the claim that Jennifer Aniston was involved in a romantic entanglement with Barack Obama.

No, this isn't something we've fabricated. Yes, several sources have speculated about it over the last few days.

In fact, this rather peculiar and scandalous piece of gossip has gained such momentum that people are now revisiting a previous interview where Jennifer Aniston herself addressed the subject.

The supposed connection between the Friends actress and the former U.S. president appears to have surfaced as part of ongoing conspiracy theories surrounding the relationship between Barack and Michelle Obama. Keep reading to understand why.

According to various reports—outlandish as they may be—concerns regarding the strength of the Obamas’ marriage were first sparked when Michelle was notably absent from both Jimmy Carter’s funeral on January 9, 2025, and Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration on Monday, January 20.

At this juncture, we’d like to make it clear that the so-called evidence suggesting an alleged affair between Aniston and Obama is, at best, highly improbable.

Yes, Michelle’s absence from those significant events could raise eyebrows, but immediately jumping to the conclusion that this signals trouble in their long-admired marriage would be premature—if not downright irresponsible.

Nonetheless, the growing speculation has prompted people to look back at an interview where Jennifer Aniston directly addressed the claim that she and Barack had engaged in an illicit romance.

While appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in October of last year, host Jimmy Kimmel handed Aniston a tabloid magazine that featured an article about the rumored affair.

Reacting to it, the actress playfully wagged her finger and proceeded to express her frustration over the fabricated stories frequently churned out by gossip publications.

Aniston remarked: “Of all the calls you get from your publicist that make you think, ‘Oh no, what’s it this time?’ or when you receive an email saying a tacky tabloid is about to invent some nonsense—then it turns out to be this…”

Given the sheer absurdity of the speculation, Aniston would have every reason to be infuriated. However, instead of reacting with anger, she told Kimmel, “I wasn’t mad about it,” though she firmly stated that the claim was “completely false.”

The 55-year-old actress then set the record straight regarding her connection with the Obamas, explaining: “I’ve met [Barack] once. I actually know Michelle better than him.”

As of now, it remains uncertain if Aniston is currently in a relationship. Her most recent long-term romance was with actor Justin Theroux, lasting eight years from 2010 to 2018.

Meanwhile, Barack and Michelle Obama have remained happily married since October 3, 1992, and share two daughters, Malia Ann (born in 1998) and Natasha (born in 2001).
