In the movie, Will Poulter plays Bobby Jones, the vicar’s son, and Lucy Boynton is Lady Frances Derwent, his daring friend. They team up to solve a mysterious murder.
Jim Broadbent and Emma Thompson play the distinguished parents of Lady Frances Marcham.
In the series, Hugh portrays Dr. James Nicholson, a psychologist, and also directs the show.
He was thrilled to take on this project, having been a fan of the novel and its captivating mystery since his teenage years, which still grabs his interest.
Hugh felt very lucky to write and direct another tale about these incredible characters, a project he deeply cherishes.
Determined to match the cast’s efforts, he aimed to look sharp and perform at his best.
