Dolly Parton has experienced a lengthy and highly successful career in the public eye.

This beloved singer’s skills have spanned many years and various styles; she has been a prominent figure in show business for as long as most of us can recall.

However, even a legend like her has to deal with critics. Recent reports indicate that some critics have been vocal, criticizing her appearance as she nears her eighties.

Dolly, originally from Tennessee, is considered a legend and has always enjoyed performing for her many fans.

In a recent interview with Pollystar, Dolly mentioned she won’t be touring much anymore. She said:

“I might do a few special performances occasionally. Maybe a long weekend of concerts or a couple at a festival. But I don’t plan to go on a full tour again.”

Having risen to the pinnacle of global entertainment from a poor upbringing in the Appalachian Mountains, Dolly will undoubtedly be missed on stage.

Still, her widespread appeal does not shield her from detractors who comment on her appearance.

In fact, her looks have often been a topic of discussion since her career began. Dolly has even shared that people advised her to abandon her distinct style if she wanted a serious career.

“People always suggested I should simplify my hairstyle and clothes,” she said.

“They told me not to dress so cheaply if I wanted to be taken seriously,” she added.

Despite the harsh words, negative comments have persisted over the years. Some even feel justified in making unfair remarks about Dolly.

One person on Twitter posted: “Dolly Parton is one ugly lady,” and another commented: “Dolly Parton is so ugly, but she has nice breasts.”

Despite the online negativity, Dolly continues to be positive and defiant. She is comfortable with her appearance and has no plans to change for anyone.

She famously remarked, “It costs a lot of money to look this cheap.”

Regarding her husband, the country star has shared that he loves her unconditionally.

“He doesn’t mind if I’m heavy,” Dolly said.

“He’s crazy enough to think I’m the sexiest, prettiest woman in the world.”

Dolly remains eager for new successes and challenges. According to Rolling Stone, she is excited about her 2022 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and plans to release an album that might surprise some fans.

Fans were thrilled last year when Dolly was considered for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after an exceptional career.

Initially, she was hesitant to accept the nomination, feeling that her career in country music might not align with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Ultimately, public opinion and voter decisions confirmed her inclusion. In November, she was officially inducted and is now focused on proving she deserves this honor.

I don’t care what anyone says, I think Dolly Parton is incredibly talented!
