So there I was, standing in a never-ending grocery line with my pregnant wife, Karol. She was handling our cart, looking as calm as ever. Suddenly, this guy came crashing into her, almost sending her and our groceries tumbling!
My temper flared up instantly, and I was about to give him a piece of my mind, but Karol had a different idea.
Growing up, I always remembered my mom’s words: “What happens, happens.” I was never one to just let things slide. I believed in handling things myself rather than waiting for karma. But that was before I met Karol. She showed me that sometimes, the universe does handle things in its own way.
The guy mumbled a sorry excuse for an apology, but Karol just flashed a mischievous grin. She reached into her purse and pulled out a tomato. Yes, a tomato!
Before anyone could even blink, Karol threw the tomato with perfect aim. It flew across the air and splatted right on the guy’s chest, leaving a bright red mark that dripped down his shirt.

The entire line went dead silent. Everyone turned to watch as the guy stood there, covered in tomato, totally shocked.
Karol? She just went back to loading our groceries as if she hadn’t just thrown a tomato at someone. She looked so pleased with herself.
As we walked out of the store, leaving the mess behind, I couldn’t help but admire Karol’s way of handling things. To her, justice was about setting things right, not getting back at someone.
Holding hands as we left, I realized that the strongest way to deal with wrongs isn’t with anger, but by simply letting go and trusting that the universe will sort it out. Sometimes, a simple act like Karol’s tomato throw is all it takes to make things right.
