The deadliest battle of the American Civil War happened in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Thousands of American soldiers lost their lives. To this day, many believe the site is cursed. It is also where President Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous Gettysburg Address. We will share the full speech later in this article.

Over 150 years ago, during the Battle of Gettysburg, countless soldiers died in the trenches. Ever since, many people say the site is haunted. In this battle, Confederate General Robert E. Lee led his final attack against the North. However, Union soldiers stopped him and pushed his forces back.

Greg Yuelling, a man from New Jersey, claims he captured evidence of ghosts on video. On the night of September 2, 2022, he drove through the historic battleground. This area, now a national park, is where he recorded the footage. Greg believes the video proves spirits still haunt the site.

Here is the Gettysburg Address, a speech President Abraham Lincoln gave on November 19, 1863:

“Four score and seven years ago, our fathers created a new nation on this continent. This nation was built on liberty and dedicated to the belief that all people are created equal.”

“We are now in the middle of a great civil war. This war is testing whether any nation, built on such principles, can survive. Today, we gather on a battlefield where this war was fought. We have come to set aside part of this field as a memorial. It will honor the soldiers who gave their lives here so that the country could live. This is the right thing to do.”

“But we cannot dedicate, bless, or make this ground sacred. It is already holy because of the brave soldiers who fought here, both living and dead. Their sacrifice has made it sacred, and we cannot add to or take away from that. What we say here today will not be remembered for long. But what they did here will never be forgotten. Instead, it is up to us, the living, to carry on their unfinished work. We must dedicate ourselves to the task ahead. We must commit to the cause for which these soldiers gave their final full measure of devotion. We must promise that their deaths were not in vain. We must ensure that this nation, under God, has a new birth of freedom. And we must ensure that a government of the people, by the people, for the people will not disappear.”
